Africa's Uterine Health Company.
We build what should have always existed: the measurement, data, care pathways, and financing that make uterine health visible in African health systems.
THE GAP WE CLOSE
No code means no data.
No data means no budget.
No budget means no care.
Health systems across Africa reach women during pregnancy. They track births and deaths. Then they lose sight of women entirely, until crisis returns them to emergency wards with conditions that should have been identified years earlier. Youterus extends visibility from pregnancy to uterine health across the life course, working where community health infrastructure already operates and turning lived experience into structured data that systems can act on.
The three pillars of impact:
care, community, and capital
Powered by women’s journeys and intelligent insights.
OUR WORK
Everything begins with what she says about her own body.
Our work is to find women living with uterine conditions the health system has not yet seen, and to make sure they get diagnosed, treated, and followed over time before those conditions turn into something far worse.
Their words are the evidence that the clinical system has not yet learned to read. From there, the work follows her through 4 connected steps that together form one system.
01
Measurement tools
Community-level screening instruments built from how African women describe their symptoms, in their own languages: Administered by community health workers at zero screening cost.
03
Clinical pathways
Community check, clinic visit, blood test, ultrasound, specialist, surgery if needed. We document the cost of each step at every tier, giving ministries and insurers the numbers they need to plan for and fund this care at a national scale.
02
Data systems
An African-owned longitudinal registry for women’s uterine health. It listens to how she describes her body and follows her from the first symptom through diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Every record makes the next diagnosis faster.
04
Financing mechanisms
Blended philanthropic and commercial capital ensures no woman is turned away because she cannot pay. Launched in Freetown in July 2025 under the patronage of the First Lady of Sierra Leone. 85 surgeries underwritten so far.
“For years I was told my pain was normal. Through Youterus Health, I finally received care - and now I know my story is part of changing the system.”

HOW TO PARTNER WITH YOUTERUS
What your engagement makes possible.
Youterus is building something that has not existed: the measurement, data, and financing standards for uterine health across Africa, held by a company with the interdisciplinary depth to keep all five dimensions of the work honest at once. The foundations are in place. Government doors are open. Clinical validation is underway. What comes next depends on who joins us.
-
Scale the care financing mechanism. Prove that African-led health financing works at continental scale. Fund new measurement modules that extend the evidence base into additional uterine conditions. Your investment builds permanent standards.
-
A Founders’ Round of USD 3M is open, closing Q4 2026. The founding equity position in Africa’s uterine health company, at the moment the standards are being set.
-
Anchor our standards inside national health plans, ECOWAS, and African Union frameworks. Engagement is live with the Federal Ministry of Health Nigeria and the Ministry of Health Sierra Leone.
-
Co-author the validation evidence with us. Build on the doctoral research from Harvard T.H. Chan and the engineering partnership with Qhala in Nairobi.
-
Commission Youterus Studio to transform research, impact data, or policy work into narrative campaigns with proven reach. Co-produce events, films, and social campaigns. Invest in the Womb and Table model and prove that creativity is social impact infrastructure.
